Shelf sag, and why solid wood wins

Books are heavy, and the weight sits across the full shelf span. MDF shelves bow under books within a year, and the bow is permanent. Solid timber shelves of proper thickness do not bow under normal book loads. This is the single most practical reason to buy a solid wood bookshelf.

Books plus display

A bookshelf works hardest when it holds both: books on the lower shelves, display pieces up top. Leave some empty space rather than filling every shelf: a packed bookshelf looks heavy and makes books hard to pull out. Vary the shelf contents so the unit reads as furniture, not storage.

Sizing for your wall

Tall bookshelves suit high walls and hold the most. Shorter wide units work under windows and double as display ledges. Measure both the wall width and the ceiling height before ordering, and check that tall units can be carried into the room.

Custom sizes and finishes

Alcoves, under-stair spaces, specific widths, extra-deep shelves for large books: custom work covers all of it. Custom work changes the price, so we quote on WhatsApp before starting. A 50% advance places the order, and our standard making time is three weeks.

Delivery and our wood guarantee

Delivery is arranged for every order and charged fairly: our own transport in Islamabad and Rawalpindi with your approval, TCS for other cities. Delivery is not free; we confirm charges before dispatch. Every bookshelf carries our lifetime wood guarantee: if the solid wood itself ever fails (cracking, warping, or wood-boring insect damage), we replace or exchange it. If your plans change, you can return furniture to us for 70% of what you paid.
